PALM BEACH, Fla. — A spokeswoman for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band says saxophone player Clarence Clemons has died in Florida at age 69.
Spokeswoman Marilyn Laverty confirmed the death Saturday.
Clemons was one of the key influences in Springsteen’s life and music. He was hospitalized about a week ago after suffering a stroke at his home in Singer Island, Fla.
Known as the Big Man for his imposing 6-foot-5-inch, 270-plus pound frame, Clemons and his ever-present saxophone spent much of his life with The Boss. H

Darren Criss, Chord Overstreet
Darren Criss and Harry Shum Jr. have been promoted to series regulars on Glee, but the same cannot be said for Chord Overstreet, whose option to join the cast full-time was not picked up, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
Criss’ promotion comes as no surprise. The day after his debut on the show as Blaine, Warblers soloist and potential love interest for Kurt (Chris Colfer), there were he would become a series regular.

A wildfire burning on part of a southern New Mexico ranch owned by veteran newsman Sam Donaldson is forcing residents to evacuate.
The fire nearly tripled in size over the past day to more than 43,000 acres Wednesday. It’s burning in steep terrain.
Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies and staff with the New Mexico Livestock Board are helping residents and their animals evacuate the Alamo Canyon area. Read full article…

2009. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen wins the never-prestigious Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Picture of the year, amidst near-unanimous savage reviews, beating out such duds as Land of the Lost (horrid), and All About Steve (forgettable).
The movie also made about $850 million worldwide, making a strong case that no one actually gives a shit about reviews. Given the choice, I think you’d take almost a billion dollars if all you had to endure was fanboy sniveling. <
