William and Kate Hit the Polo Field in California

The Royal Couple felt right at home during their California visit Saturday as Prince William hit the polo fields in Santa Barbara.

William led his Royal Salute polo team to victory at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club while his wife, Kate, cheered him on, according to RadarOnline.com.

Before the match, William addressed the eager crowd, telling them what an honor it was to be celebrating the California polo club’s 100th anniversary.

When the lighthearted drama airs at 9 p.m. Sunday, the team hunts down a missing Van Gogh painting. But as fate would have it, there is more to this piece of art than meets the eye. And with a little digging, the team learns the painting was a key part in an interracial romance during World War II.

Cool off at annual Blueberry Festival

TERRE HAUTE — Preparations are wrapping up for the third Annual Blueberry Festival in Terre Haute. The festival is coming up this Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in downtown Terre Haute.

The Blueberry Festival was started to help raise money to open the doors for the upcoming co-op store in downtown Terre Haute called Terre Foods. The festival is co-sponsored and staged at the Central Presbyterian Church at 125 N. Seventh St.

Organizers of the festival do their part to keep the carbon footprint for the festival as low as possible. The blueberries are purchased as local as current weather conditions permit. L

For Emmys, Networks Have The Right Sense Of Humor

With “Mad Men,” ”Boardwalk Empire” and other prestige series, cable ruled the Emmy nominations for drama. But broadcast networks got the last laugh with their sitcoms.

Of the six nominees for best drama series only one, CBS’ “The Good Wife,” is a network program. Of the half-dozen comedy series contenders, all air on networks.

Members of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences clearly favored sitcom tradition. “Modern Family,” ”The Office” and other broadcast shows have a more purely comic bent and err on the good-natured side of satire. Read full article…

‘Glee’: Colfer, Michele, Monteith not returning for Season 4

FOXThe cast of “Glee” will undergo a makeover (or a “makeunder”) after next season.

What do you do on the eve of the Emmy Award nominations when youre a creator of the biggest television series in the world?

You release a statement to the press revealing that the three top actors in your series wont be returning after the next season. And its even better if you brag about not telling them about it first.

At least that’s what Glee’s megalomaniac Ryan Murphy decided to do when he announced to the press that Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel), Lea Michele (Rachel Berry), and Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson) are graduating in Season 3.
