TERRE HAUTE — The Terre Haute Parks & Recreation Department is planning its annual 4th of July Celebration on Monday in Fairbanks Park.
The celebration will begin at the amphitheater with the VFW Post No. 972 presenting the colors at 8 p.m. followed by the Terre Haute Community Band. Fireworks will start at approximately 10:10 p.m.
For the safety of the large crowd anticipated to attend and the nature of this celebration, the Terre Haute Parks Department is reminding visitors that personal fireworks are prohibited in all City Parks. Visitors also are asked to leave all pets at home. The Terre Haute Police Department will be on site to enforce all park rules and regulations.
